US Citizens: You can obtain your online visa through: https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ Please note that your passport should be valid for at least six months at the time of travel.

Non-US citizens: Please check with your local Turkish consulate or online at http://www.washington.emb.mfa.gov.tr/ConsularServices.aspx as the procedures and requirements vary depending on your nationality.

Although weather patterns vary in Turkey, the climates in most major cities may be compared to regions in the US: Istanbul=Washington DC; Southern Turkey=Southern Florida; Cappadocia=Denver, CO; Izmir/Ephesus=Northern Florida

The unit of currency is the Turkish lira (TRY). As of January 1st 2023\4, 1 US dollar equals 30 Turkish lira. Major credit cards are widely accepted. Please notify your bank/credit card company of the dates that you will be abroad and don't forget to get a 4 digit pin code for your credit/debit cards.
